Puppy Transportation Options

Puppy Nanny/Pick up Options & Pricing

Your puppies "Go Home" day is exciting day for you,  and we do our best to make it as smooth of a transition for the puppy as well.  Below you will find a few options for puppy transportation that you have available to you.  These options are always changing due to current economic status and price changes. Please review all of the transportation options BEFORE purchasing your puppy.  You are responsible for arranging your puppies transportation. We will help you as much as possible.

Transportation Options:

  • Puppy Nanny Air Transport

  • Flying in to Pick up

  • Driving to Pick up

  • Meeting

Puppy Nanny Air Transport:  This is our most popular option.  We have a private puppy nanny (Erin) that does all of our puppy flights.  She plays with and loves on all of our adults and puppies on a regular basis so by the time she delivers your puppy she already knows them and loves them like her own.

Because she is our private puppy nanny, she only does flights for RCK clients and does not work for the air line. The benefit of that is she purchases your ticket so you have a guaranteed seat rather than the typical standby flight options.

We fly with the puppy in cabin, in an airline approved carrier directly from Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport to your nearest major airport.

Please have a couple different airline options for pick up. Some airlines are more difficult/expensive to fly into.

If you are interested in using Erin for Puppy Nanny transportation please contact her as soon as possible at the email below to arrange your puppies flight details.  Your puppy can fly home any time after they turn 8 weeks old.  The sooner you book the flight the cheaper it will be.

Cost:  The cost of this service is the Price of the flight + the Puppy Carry On fee ($75-$125 Varies by Airline) + $300

What You'll Get:  Your puppy will come with a small puppy pack that includes vaccination records, health guarantee, small bag of food, toy, leash, treats, and a collar.  You'll also get a couple extra potty pads and a packet of wipes incase your puppy has an accident on the drive home.

What You'll Need:  If you don't have a passenger who's lap your puppy can sit in on the way home, you'll need a crate or carrier to put them in.

Where You'll Go:  You will meet the puppy nanny at baggage claim.

Tips:

  • Your puppy probably has to go potty after it's long flight.  Family Restrooms are a great place to put your puppy pad down and let your puppy relieve itself.  This eliminates the risk of picking up any viruses or diseases from public dog potty areas.

  • Puppies sometimes get nervous on their trip home, and that comes with upset tummies.  If they have an accident in the carrier during their flight, we will clean them up as much as possible but you may need to give them a quick bath in the sink when they arrive home.

Flying in to Pick up:   This is a good option if you have a free day,  and want to save yourself the $300 puppy nanny fee.  We will meet you at MSP (Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport) for no charge.

Cost:  The cost of this is the Price of the flight + the Puppy Carry On fee ($75-$125 Varies by Airline)

What You'll Get:  Your puppy will come with a small puppy pack that includes vaccination records, health guarantee, small bag of food, toy, leash, treats, and a collar.  You'll also get a couple extra potty pads and a packet of wipes incase your puppy has an accident on the return flight home.

What You'll Need:   You will need to purchase an airline approved carrier to put your puppy in on the return flight home.

Where You'll Go:  When you arrive at MSP you will meet us outside (curbside) at the arrivals/departures doors.

Tips:

  • Your puppy probably has to go potty before it's long flight.  Family Restrooms are a great place to put your puppy pad down and let your puppy relieve itself.  This eliminates the risk of picking up any viruses or diseases from public dog potty areas.

  • We have included some wipes if your puppy has an accident during their trip but you may need to give them a quick bath in the sink when they arrive home.  We will skip your puppies breakfast before their flight and give them some anti-diarrhea medication to help prevent accidents.

  • Typically they just sleep through the flight happily :)

Driving to Pick Up:   This is a good option if you live reasonably close to Minneapolis or Western Wisconsin.

Cost:  The price of gas.

Tips:  Try to avoid puppy dog potty areas where they could pick up diseases/viruses that they are not yet immune to.
