Puppy Transportation Options

Pick up Options & Pricing

Transportation Options:

  • Puppy Nanny Air Transport

  • Flying in to Pick up

  • Driving to Pick up

  • Meeting

Puppy Nanny Air Transport:   I (Mel) can personally fly with your puppy to your nearest major airport.  That cost is $750.  There are also other pet nanny companies you can find with a quick google search.  The downside to these private puppy nanny companies is that they are typically airline employees that fly standby and you won't know if they've gotten a seat on a flight until the last minute.   My flights are all paid seats so no standby to worry about.   â€‹

Flying in to Pick up: â€‹  This is a good option if you have a free day,  and want to save yourself the  puppy nanny fee.  We will meet you at MSP (Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport) for no charge.

Cost:  The cost of this is the Price of the flight + the Puppy Carry On fee ($75-$125 Varies by Airline)

What You'll Get:  Your puppy will come with a small puppy pack that includes vaccination records, health guarantee, small bag of food, toy, leash, treats, and a collar.  You'll also get a couple extra potty pads and a packet of wipes incase your puppy has an accident on the return flight home.

What You'll Need:   You will need to purchase an airline approved carrier to put your puppy in on the return flight home.

Where You'll Go:  When you arrive at MSP you will meet us outside (curbside) at the arrivals/departures doors.

Tips:

  • Your puppy probably has to go potty before it's long flight.  Family Restrooms are a great place to put your puppy pad down and let your puppy relieve itself.  This eliminates the risk of picking up any viruses or diseases from public dog potty areas.

  • We have included some wipes if your puppy has an accident during their trip but you may need to give them a quick bath in the sink when they arrive home.  We will skip your puppies breakfast before their flight and give them some anti-diarrhea medication to help prevent accidents.

  • Typically they just sleep through the flight happily :)

Driving to Pick Up: â€‹  This is a good option if you live reasonably close to Minneapolis or Western Wisconsin.

Cost:  The price of gas.

What You'll Get:  Your puppy will come with a puppy pack that includes vaccination records, health guarantee, small bag of food, toy, leash, treats, and a collar.  You'll also get a couple extra potty pads and a packet of wipes incase your puppy has an accident on the return trip home.

What You'll Need:   If you don't have a passenger who's lap your puppy can sit in on the way home, you'll need a crate or carrier to put them in.

Where You'll Go:  You can pick up your puppy in Somerset, WI at our home.

Tips:  Try to avoid puppy dog potty areas where they could pick up diseases/viruses that they are not yet immune to.

Meeting: â€‹  If you want to drive but would like us to meet you somewhere closer, we usually can accommodate that for the cost of gas up to 2 hours away from Somerset, WI.
